Visa service fees

The Horizon visa service fee is non-refundable once your application file has been submitted to the embassy, consulate or VFS / BLS centre. This covers the work already done — eligibility review, document drafting, file preparation, appointment booking and submission.

If you cancel before submission, we refund the service fee minus a ₹1,500 review charge for work already completed.

Consulate / embassy fees are paid directly to the mission and are refundable strictly per that mission's policy. Most embassies do not refund visa fees once an application is lodged — this is a government rule, not ours.

Tour packages

If you cancel a confirmed tour package, the following tiers apply on the total package value:

  • 30 days or more before departure — 10% cancellation charge.
  • 15 to 29 days before departure — 25% cancellation charge.
  • 7 to 14 days before departure — 50% cancellation charge.
  • Under 7 days before departure, or no-show — no refund.

Non-refundable third-party costs (visa fees, non-refundable airfare, hotel cancellation penalties) are deducted in addition to the tier above.

Forex

Once a forex rate is locked and payment is received, the transaction cannot be cancelled or refunded — currency is purchased on the live market on your behalf. If you wish to sell unused foreign currency back to us, it will be re-purchased at the live buy-back rate of the day.

If Horizon Travels makes the error

If a visa application is delayed or refused due to a filing error on our side (incorrect form, wrong document attached, missed deadline that was within our control), we refund 100% of the Horizon service fee and re-file the application at our cost where the embassy permits. Consulate fees follow the embassy's own refund rules.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method. For bank transfers, please share a cancelled cheque or UPI handle. We will email you a refund confirmation with the transaction reference.

How to request a refund

Email info@myhorizontravels.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and your application or booking ID. We acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 7 working days.
